Real Algebraic Geometry

This first week conference will be held at the university Lyon 1 between the 16-th and the 20-th of November 2020. The program consists of five mini-courses together with six talks.

The planned mini-courses are :

Olivier Benoist (ÉNS Paris)  Algebraic curves on real algebraic varieties
Saugata Basu (Purdue University)   Quantitative and algorithmic aspects of real algebraic geometry
Antonio Lerario (SISSA Trieste)  Random real algebraic geometry
Anne Pichon (Aix-Marseille Université) Bilipschitz geometry of real singularities
Kristin Shaw (University of Oslo) Tropical homology and combinatorial patchworking

The research talks will be given by:

Thomas Blomme (Sorbonne Université)
Boulos El Hilany (University of Tubingen)
Khazhgali Kozhasov (TU Braunschweig)
Maria Michalska (University of Lodz)
Jean-Philippe Monnier (Université d'Angers)
Miruna-Stefana Sorea (Max-Planck-Institut für Mathematik, Leipzig)

The conference will be the occasion to discuss the latest developments of real algebraic and tropical geometries, under their algorithmic, probabilistic and singular aspects in particular.
