Description

This event is cancelled.

The origin of Real Algebraic Geometry goes back at least to the "Discours de la méthode" of René Descartes. One of the famous problems of David Hilbert, the 16-th, is devoted to this subject. It has considerably modernized over the last twenty years, with the appearance of tropical geometry notably, and has now close interactions with enumerative geometry, symplectic geometry, mathematical physics  or probability theory. The aim of this program is to gather together in Lyon researchers of all generations having contributed to this subject. It is concentrated in two weeks and was initially planned at the CIRM from the 20-th of April to the 1-st of May 2020.

Week 1: Real Algebraic Geometry

This first conference will be held between the 16-th and the 20-th of November 2020. The program consists of five mini-courses together with six talks. To reach the webpage of this conference, click on the coresponding link on the left column.
